No. NCC compliance applies to the proposed building solution and its intended use, not to a product name in isolation. The NCC requires suitable evidence showing how a material, product, form of construction or design satisfies the relevant Performance Requirement or Deemed-to-Satisfy Provision. Request evidence for the exact foam and assembly, then have the appropriate project practitioner or authority assess it within the project’s compliance pathway.
Request a current report or certificate that identifies the exact foam grade and tested configuration. It should state the test method and edition, specimen details, thickness, density, facings or coverings, results, classification, limitations, date, issuing laboratory and relevant accreditation scope. A result for a different product or assembly should not be assumed to apply. The project team must also confirm which NCC provisions and evidence pathway are relevant.
